About Us

As an open and affirming congregation, we welcome all who know God’s love to be inclusive of ALL individuals to be a part of our community. We embrace people of every race, culture, sexual orientation and gender expression into the full life and ministry of the church. We find unity in diversity. We have a spiritual grounding in commitment to outreach and social justice. We are a prayerful and energized group of diverse souls united in God's spirit.

Riverside United Church of Christ held its first service in 2003, and moved into its current location in 2009. Riverside United Church of Christ is a member congregation of the United Church of Christ and is led by its congregants.  Our pastor is Rev. Linda Girouex, who proposed creating this church a decade ago and works each day to bring us closer to God's vision for us. We are a family rich with diversity and gifts. RUCC has numerous active and growing ministries that include areas as diverse as music, peace building and Bible studies.

For our congregation, worship is singing from the heart, it is an experience of love and community, it is an atmosphere of celebration Sunday after Sunday. There is joy here, there is hope here, there is peace here and there is — most importantly — love here.
